The esteemed members of Sub Committee – II of the House Committee on Environment of Odisha Legislative Assembly visited Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on 20th December, 2022. The esteemed members comprising Mr. Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon’ble Government Chief Whip and Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Nauri Naik, Hon’ble MLA, Dr. C S Raazen Ekka, Hon’ble MLA and Mr. Prakash Soren, Hon’ble MLA were accorded warm welcome on their arrival at Rourkela House on 19th December evening.
The Sub Committee accompanied by Mr. Shankar Oram, Hon’ble MLA, Biramitrapur, Sub-Collector, Panposh, Tahsildar, Rourkela and officers of State Pollution Control Board visited the Lagoon Outlet area on 20th December from where the treated water of RSP is discharged. Mr. P K Sahoo, ED (Projects) and other Senior Officers of RSP were present on the occasion.
